I already had a small matcha set with a sieve, bamboo measuring spoon and whisk. I didn't think of buying a matcha bowl/cup and whisk holder set thinking I would just use the bowls or mugs I have at home. I've found that beating matcha in a mug isn't as effective as I thought it would be. It was too full to get a good foam/mixture. The matcha bowl is wider/bigger than I expected but the roomy shape really made for a nice matcha blend. I was also able to use more matcha per cup than usual, which I found to be a concern with my regular cups. I only made 1 teaspoon/1 scoop because I didn't have enough room to whip, but this bowl allows me to use whatever amount of matcha I prefer to my liking. I'm still experimenting with the quantity but so far very happy with this set. It feels so luxurious that it lifts my spirits on a rainy day when I need a warm, calming cup of matcha green tea! The whisk holder is a game changer. Lately I've been concerned about the shape of my whisk as I loosely stored it in the closet after it got crushed by other items in the closet. This whisk gives it space and helps it keep its nice shape. When I open my tea cabinet, it gives me great pleasure to see my beautiful service. This product is highly recommended!
