I have two adult and frankly fat guinea pigs that love them. One of my little pigs is quite old and rarely leaves her warm and dark hut. It's easy to shake out feces on non-wash days, and they can still use their hutches on wash days. They're also pretty long lived because my pigs run as fast as they can and throw themselves in the pit, playing like a cross between corn hole and that running jump you do after you turn off the light and you don't want the monster under the bed to grab you by the ankles.
