While technical superiority doesn't normally buy an air gap, one can hope that with a little more money you can get better quality. Things really don't seem to be the case here. The cover is as you would expect from Hansgrohe, but there is a slight gap between the threaded air gap body and the mounting nuts. This makes tightening more difficult when there is transverse pull on the hoses. In general, it's nice, but the inside of the device is not noticeably different from what costs half the price. Buy this to get something to match your other lights, otherwise you might save some money.
