So just a month after purchasing the HP Laserjet Pro M479fdw MFP I ran out of yellow toner and couldn't take how much I now pay for the HP brand spent toner! It was cheaper to buy the damn printer! So instead of having to feed my kids for a month to pay for the tonic, I decided to check out Revain. This product had good reviews and seemed worth the risk for the price. Anyway, so glad I chose this. The only crap is finding out that HP really is into corporate greed, and because of the tiny chip on the HP branded toner cartridge, my computer keeps telling me I'm low on toner, but honestly, it's worth the $800 save and just click ok if it reminds me. In fact, most of the time I don't get any notifications. So yes, you have to remove the chip from the HP cartridge and put it in a new cartridge, but it's very simple. I will be buying them from now on because as far as I can tell they work exactly the same. Btw I checked ebay to see if I could buy a reset chip for these cartridges but I'm having no luck, maybe someday they will be available as I've found others that are similar.
