When this alarm clock arrived a few months ago I put it in my pocket and it automatically showed the right time. (Of course it depends on what time zone you are in. It doesn't automatically know your time zone. I guess I'm just in the cool zone.) The icing on the cake was last night when it was changed. independently for daylight saving time. I have the coolest alarm clock in the world. Even if you grew up with a brother in the next room who wasn't woken up by his alarm clock and left it ringing loudly for (at least) half an hour every morning, then the sound of a typical alarm clock for even a tenth of a second will make you feel that way to be really crazy. It's not the right tone, thank goodness. Edit: Some of the other reviews are weird too. Maybe the article sometimes lacked instructions? Mine came with instructions on how to set the time if needed. And I'm wondering if some people just didn't read that you need to set the time zone and assumed that if they didn't set the correct time for their zone then the clock wasn't set automatically. I've unplugged my watch more than once (I've moved twice since I got it two months ago) and when I plug it back in it's still set up correctly. Of course, I'm sure not everyone is an idiot. There must be a few defective clocks out there somewhere.
