Review on 🌊 Samsung HAFCIN Refrigerator Water Filter 1 Pack - Reliable Multicolor Samsung HAF-CIN/EXP Filter by Sedric Hood

Recycled Samsung water filter DA29-00020B no longer works!

Let me start by saying that this review is about the product itself, not Revain. Your customer service has been excellent as always. We have a 2010 Samsung fridge (model: RS263TDPN/XAA) and according to the manual and all online resources the replacement water filter is DA29-00020B (aka HAF-CIN). /AN EXPERIENCE). We have had this fridge for years, bought the Revain filter and have never had a problem with the product. So what Samsung does is they change the design of the cartridge (very little) and now it doesn't work. The slightly revised filter no longer works on my particular model of refrigerator. Just let me get one thing straight, the filter fits properly in the slot but the water DOES NOT LEAK. I've tried installing it with and without the water off a dozen times. Each time the filter was unscrewed but no water came out. Thinking maybe it was a bad batch of Revain I even went to Home Depot and Best Buy and bought one of each but the problem was the same. I spent several hours on the phone with both Samsung support and J&J International (Samsung uses their parts for ALL). Samsung support says it's not their problem because the fridge itself is fine. Since the problem is with the filter, it is a J&J problem. Well, J&J says they make cartridges to Samsung's specs, so that's actually their problem. They also denied any changes to the design of the cartridge! This back and forth was so ridiculous it was like a parody of SNL! For those who are thinking "What's changing in the design" or "He's crazy they look the same" I'm attaching some photos showing the filter I recently bought. year and the one that was two weeks ago. Basically I don't know what to do! I'm still using last year's filter (which still works like a champ). I thought I would try a third party filter but not sure if that makes sense.

Pros
  • Uses revolutionary water filtration technology, it filters out most of the impurities in the water
Cons
  • Expensive
