My first review was one star and said the inductive sensor was rubbish. The flash stopped working above 1800 rpm. I tested this on my 1976 BMW bike with brand new connector wires. I decided to try again after reading the instructions again. Maybe I attached the pickup to the back at the front. It's quite difficult to see the arrow on the gauge that should point to the spark plug. I got it set right on the second try and the light works much better now. Still, it's a 3-star product. I find that the flash is very erratic at idle and becomes more consistent as the RPM increases. I tested it side by side with the old SnapOn timer. The SnapOn was very stable across all RPM ranges. Conclusion: This time display is "healthy", but not perfect. For the price I think you get a decent value. However, it is quite difficult to get a clear reading when idling. I would not recommend that.
