Replacement filter is difficult to install. It is mounted on a molded plastic frame. The rubberized vinyl gasket has an inward facing peripheral lip that forms a groove into which the outer edge of the plastic frame's mating flange fits. This can be seen by removing the old filter from the frame. DO NOT BREAK THE FRAME! The bottom of the frame can easily be inserted into the filter groove, but getting the rest of the frame flange into the groove takes skill and patience to pull the vinyl and pull the groove over the flange and hold it. snap into place when the frame flange is fully seated in the gasket groove.
