🔍 Eureka Original STK Vacuum Filters #61544 (Pack of 3 Filters): Ensuring Optimal Cleaning Performance Review

I bought this a while ago and was really hoping it would work when it arrived. As soon as I opened the package I had my doubts. The filter is completely different from the original filter, but I installed it anyway. It fits, it's just loose so when vacuuming it doesn't pick up like it should and dirt flies all over the place. So no, it's not a good product.

Thanks to a previous reviewer who told me how to keep the cage in the filter to put in the new filter. There is no indication of this on the packaging. A real mistake as I noticed that buyers were dissatisfied with the product. It was a little tricky getting the cage back in place, but it's a necessary step to prevent the filter from sticking to the engine.

Fast shipping. Package 3 as advertised. Replacement for m/n 164 (not series a, b. only 164, ours is about 10-12 years old). There is no inner frame compared to the original. I was worried it might not hold its shape well or stick together well. I'm impressed, it seals well, holds up well. The first application worked very well. I have always cleaned the original which still works and this one works well as a replacement, the suction power of the unit is excellent with this new filter.

In the first photo on the right is the original Eureka filter and on the left is my Revain purchase. The new filter is a thin piece of junk that breaks down in a vacuum, allowing the dirt to pass through the filter to the engine. I can't believe this is a Eureka product. The site on the web says it works with my Eureka model, as does the box (the list of vacuum series the filters should work with is on the second photo). Needless to say I am returning this purchase.

Replacement filter is difficult to install. It is mounted on a molded plastic frame. The rubberized vinyl gasket has an inward facing peripheral lip that forms a groove into which the outer edge of the plastic frame's mating flange fits. This can be seen by removing the old filter from the frame. DO NOT BREAK THE FRAME!
