I bought it to slice a cheesecake. My main reason for buying this brand was that it was supposedly made in France. I prefer to buy kitchen utensils from European production. The only thing is that the product came in a white box. There was no company label or country of origin label on the product. The white package actually had a label indicating it had been in France. However, the product was not packaged in a box or bag or anything else that would lead me to believe it is genuine. The product is very cheap, definitely not what I would expect from Europe. The wire has already faded and the handles are plastic. Products made in Europe are usually made of stainless steel and wood. At least when it comes to something like this. This product does not appear to be built to last. I paid a little over $4 and at that price I would recommend it. Otherwise I do not recommend this product.
