I've been using these coffee makers for years and it amazes me that people spend tons of money on fancy machines that do exactly the same thing. I really like Melitta filters and used them in my previous Clever coffee filter. What I didn't like about this smart device was that the clear plastic quickly became stained and discolored, which, to be honest, made it look ugly. I didn't know if I would like it as much because it didn't have the same adjustable exhaust valve as the Clever. The Ready Set Joe has a small hole that seems to slow dripping, and the hole on the side allows you to see your mug so you don't run the risk of overfilling it. I love that I now have 2 and can throw one in the dishwasher while I use the other. Melitta is now my favorite coffee!
