Battery powered first. If you are looking for traditional plugins. They won't work. I bought these for my front door for Christmas as there are no outlets near my door and I'm too lazy to get an extension cord. This works great in my situation. It's considered decent quality for what you pay for. Love the fact that it comes with a remote control so I don't have to go outside at night to turn it off and you can also set a timer if you want.
