Of course, occasionally, and especially with a child, they get a little dirty, so when washing in a laundry bag on delicate linen, one loop hangs, and the other is completely removed. After air drying I simply glued them back on to put in a gift box for a special event. If they were going to be used again I would recommend attaching them to the 4 corners with quick stitches... which would be better for the maker than hot glue.
