Review on ASUS Strix XG27UQR Gaming Monitor - 3840x2160p, 144Hz, Anti-Glare, Blue Light Filter, Flicker-Free, Tilt Adjustment by Mike Perez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Clumsy menu, dead pixels/otherwise good display

I bought this to replace an LG 4k monitor that I've been using for 5 years. I wanted to take advantage of the higher frame rates for macOS and gaming on my PC. The first problem is that switching inputs requires 8 separate button presses. This is really frustrating as the monitor offers 2 shortcut keys that you can customize, except you can't customize them to select a specific input. I would like them to change this, maybe through a software update? The second problem: an already dead pixel. This annoys me so much as I've spent twice as much as other monitors to get 4k @ 144hz from a company I trust (ed.). It's a good monitor, but my excitement was limited by these issues.
