Review on ☕ Chemex Pour-Over Glass Coffeemaker - Classic 6-Cup Series - Enhanced Packaging by Kari Madison

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Brews great coffee, stylish/ergonomic! Uses fewer beans than my french press!

Well I finally came to Chemex after my wife broke my drip can in Osaka! I have to say I don't miss that much! The coffee maker is beautiful and makes great coffee! It's got a great grip that you'll want to hold, and with a filter it's way better than a fine-mesh metal filter that takes five years to brew, even when rubbed down with baking soda and vinegar. Thanks for your filters! No weird taste, just great coffee every morning! It doesn't have heat retention but the glass is thick enough that it will keep the coffee warm for at least an hour and I tried warming it over the stove on slow heat and the coffee was nice and hot again with no heat and the burnt taste. I use a French Press regularly but have found that using this drip method with a slightly finer grind requires a tablespoon less coffee than my French Press and the flavor is a little smoother. (French press cooks a little darker). So I've only been using Chemex for a few months and I'm definitely saving my beans a tablespoon a day! Good stuff, I recommend it to all coffee lovers.
