Great improvement but still quality issues

The RB2 drum kit is a significant improvement over the RB1 drum kit in many ways. First, it's more sensitive and also more sensitive to hits - so the harder you hit, the louder the sound (but only for free play). With more sensitivity comes less frustration from missed notes you know you pressed but the game didn't register. The design of the drum pads has also been improved. You no longer encounter hard plastic that cracks over time. Now you encounter some kind of foam with a rubber membrane on it. The bass pedal is also improved, but still not perfect. With my original RB1 pedal I had to glue a thin piece of wood to it because it tore in half. The RB2 pedal now has reinforcement in the form of a thin metal plate running through the top. However, the plate ends in a hinge, which can be a tipping point. My pedal lasted many hours so let's see how well it will work. Along with the increased durability, there are several other key features that contribute to the overall improvements. Of course it's wireless, so that's good. The battery life is pretty good. There are also 2 ports on the back for connecting "cymbals" but they are sold separately. So, I've had the RB2 drum kit for about 3 weeks now and play it quite often (especially after the release of the Beatles RB). Already damaged. As I mentioned earlier, the pads are covered with a rubber membrane. There is a flexible plastic sticker or something similar in the middle of the rubber membrane. In any case, after hitting this plastic element, it stretches (like a plastic bag stretches). And it makes it bubble. Depending on how hard you press, you may or may not miss some notes due to the bubble. I didn't really notice it affecting anything, but it's definitely a recognizable flaw in the design, whether it causes failure later or not. Overall I'm happy with the new kit. I couldn't get 100% on any song with the RB1 kit. With this kit I know if I don't get 100% it's my fault.
