Great product but some flaws :(

I ordered this product and couldn't wait for it to arrive. We have been using Closeli cameras in our home for a number of years now and have found the technology to be a little is outdated and expensive compared to what is available in the market these days. Also, I wanted a LAN NVR system and more cameras. I wanted Wi-Fi cameras not to run cables throughout the house. Manual. There will be no HDMI cable included if you need one The quality of the camera and picture is fantastic I have bought several of these wireless security systems and read great reviews about the range and signal of the Xmarto My Home Is approx 3500 sq ft I posted one of the cameras in the attic, on the other side of the house (technically 3 floors) and the signal is excellent. No signal amplification required. NVR fu Works well, but the beginning The user interface looked a bit outdated. The font reminded me of my Atari at the time. Be sure to update the firmware! It's a simple process that downloads and installs automatically. You can do this after configuring everything, it won't break any of your settings. You get a lot of features and if you are tech savvy you will find that this system is easy to use. I was impressed with everything that was possible with this system and didn't feel the least bit left out, especially after reviewing a few products. The cameras work great in low light. The one I placed in my attic was in the dark and literally pitch black. The results are impressive. I was able to increase the brightness, which also improved visibility. You also have the option to disable on-screen motion. So if you have a flag in the wind or a swing bench on your porch, you can prevent the system from reporting traffic in a certain area. I've seen this feature but haven't used it (yet). It seemed pretty intuitive. minuses. There is a web interface for your local network, but it's just awful. I expected a lot more from a technological product. My Closeli interface is much better and it's a product I bought in 2014. What disappointed me the most was the mobile app. Mobility is a key component of a home security system and one of its most important benefits. This app is slow and painful to use. It takes a long time to connect and you literally have to discard images to reset your last view. To be honest, it just sucks. Nowadays the mobile app does not deliver the expected results. My Closeli app is 10x better and that's a big downgrade for me. It looks like the same app is used by multiple security camera companies because I've seen them on other youtube videos. I think it would be helpful for Xmarto to develop their own improved app that could further differentiate them in the market. My husband owns a software development company and since there were almost no alternatives, I suggested that he develop an application. I would like to see some domes added to the lineup. It would be nice to have a few of these and will be looking for some in the future. Finally, I found the playback options a bit lame. We usually expect frames or thumbnails to navigate through. If so, I haven't found them. Microphones are fun. They look like long sticks. Not exactly practical. SUMMARY Overall this is a good product, especially for the money. Overall I am happy with my purchase. The good thing is that the things I don't like (for the most part) may eventually be fixed with software updates. If you are looking for similar products, I think you will be most satisfied with this safety set. I've enjoyed exploring its features and it has a lot going for it and I can't wait to get the rest of my cameras online.
