Lame product and terrible quality.

On October 29th, 2011, I made the purchase of this HP 255 G8 laptop and, as stated in the accompanying instructions, I charged it. I did some work, then I unplugged the laptop from the charger, and I didn't think about it again for a couple of days. 320222022 The laptop prompted the user to charge it. No problem! After inserting the adapter into its socket, we then insert it into the corresponding socket on the laptop. Um… Do not climb!? It reaches a maximum of fifty percent, and at the very least, you break. When we check inside the plug, we see that the center contact has been pushed inward, and that there are traces of plastic along the sides, both of which hinder the plug from being able to snap into place. We have finally arrived. After then came the phone calls and visits to the various service centers. (Hong Kong, SC "Petersoft" 0820222022) The answer is mechanical damage, and the issue is not covered by the warranty. I completely grasp everything, and I am aware that power connectors are consumables for all users; yet, they fail after three days. If you are willing to spend one thousand dollars on a power supply after each charge, then you should get HP products. These plugs are not available for purchase on their own anywhere I look.

Pros
  • Incapable of rating
Cons
  • Because of the melting, the plug of the power supply can only be inserted halfway into the socket.

There's a laptop that's twice as expensive and twice as good, so it's priced right for the specs.
