Using these under sneakers, work shoes, and hiking scramblers. The fit is excellent - form-fitting with no excess material to start blisters. Both my sister and I have these socks, in the same size. We both wear size 9.5-10 women's shoes - but she has average size ankles, while my ankles and calves are extra large. The socks comfortably stretch to accommodate my legs, and do not bind.
