Review on ๐ŸŽ๏ธ Men's Speed Roller Skate - Chicago Skates Bullet by Calvin Chavva

For children, of course. However, see edit.

I am a very experienced skater and my skates are very very expensive so I am not writing this review for my 6 year old son who wears a size 1. They are a little smaller than expected but they are very good skates for young skaters, strong enough for him and his weight. Enough that if it outgrows these I'll buy the next side, maybe even another size 3. I've had to adjust them, the wheels are too tight, the bogies are tight, I might see those two things as problems for those that they buy. I wouldn't buy them for an adult, trucks are thinner than I would like, durability for an adult's weight is questionable but great for kids. Edit: They are definitely not ready to jump and skate and they are definitely a good buy for kids and will definitely stay away from adult skates. I took a closer look at the skates and noticed that they use a spacer between the bearings, which is not only unnecessary but also contributes to the bearings not rolling properly. For some reason the only photo I have is while he's still in the steering wheel, sorry. It's clear that the wheels weren't made with that particular spacer in mind because when you remove them the bearings go all the way in, which they don't unless you remove that spacer. The nuts are so tight that several bearing dust shields are bent and one is bent so badly that the bearing does not run smoothly. ,) The bearings are fine if they don't spin from the factory and you remove the spacer and the tool that came with the skates wouldn't work with the skate nuts (so I had to use my own socket set.) For $40 I'm super happy , the skates are expensive, but they aren't because they require work out of the box.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
