First the support team has some problems. I don't think they are doing their best because I ask a specific question and they reply with a nonsensical answer. The python script they have says it could be a hardware-software switch with the WRONG command. The manual says that too, but the FAQ says you have to solder the resistors onto the board. That's all. Not the Om or where they are going. And if it is, it is now controlled by software and can no longer be controlled by hardware. So I'm curious as to why this option is included in the sample code at all since it doesn't do anything. I asked the support a question, how much does it cost and where is it going. They replied that the resistors were not included. I asked the question again and they said the pads are 0 ohms. So I answered where they were going and they stopped answering. Another strange problem is that the stepper motor hums when you turn off the power. I found it odd as I thought the power button would turn off all electricity, but I guess "power" means something different in China.
