When I hatched the angelfish eggs I needed a strong flow of air from the air hose, but once they hatched I was able to easily reduce the force that the air pumped into the air filter setup I use. And the same goes for the refugium which contained all of my cherry shrimp! They were blown away by strong air that sprayed water and air everywhere. This valve was amazing. I was able to connect so many air ducts to my heavy duty air pump. Just be careful if you have a small air pump and are trying to split the airflow into several different hoses, some pumps may be too weak to achieve what you want. just a mild warning because a lot of people don't realize it until they try.
