I buy and have them every summer for my kids and my partner. I prefer these over water shoes as they are lightweight but still have a sole for harder and rockier terrain. Shoes are easy to wash and dry quickly. My partner and I don't need new pairs every year as our feet don't grow and have withstood our several years of moderate use. The stitching seems to be holding, as are the soles. My kids spend a lot of time in the pool in the summer and their feet get soft. The rough bottom of the pool practically wears the top layer of skin off their soles and toes, making it painful for them to step out of the pool after getting out. I let them wear these shoes in the pool if they plan to be in the pool for a long time to protect their feet. We all wear them hiking and kayaking. They are perfect for that. Easy to put on and take off, even for my youngest who is 4 years old. Washes off quickly if they get gritty or dirty. They dry quickly between lake or river use. They protect our feet from burns when we walk down the sidewalk where we kayak or swim, and we don't have to carry a pair of ordinary boots that we don't want to get wet while walking. The thin sole makes it easy to keep our balance when we are on rocky terrain or rocky beaches, but thick enough not to hurt our feet. All in all, this was a great purchase for everyone in the family.
