I have a 9.5 year old Maltese toy dog and although she is a bit larger (11 lbs) I give her 1/2 a tablet every day. Directions: 1/2-1 tablet a day for under 10lbs but I started on 1/2 a tablet a day and it helped so much I've stuck with that dose.
