Give My Pet Twice A Day

These are powdered capsules. My 17 year old dog has been taking them for a few years now. I called the manufacturer and was told that this is the exact product my vet sells. I buy it here for less money but it affects my dogs mobility. I think she's more comfortable.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Some Stuff

No changes to see.

My vet recommended it to my 16 year old. an old orange tabby with arthritis in the hind leg/thigh. I've been giving her the highest recommended dose for the past 8 months and really see no difference (still lame). Just in case the lameness gets worse without it, I add it to her meals every morning.

  • Comfortable to use

  • Nothing

Must be a bad batch.

I usually buy this product from Chewy. But since I was on Revain and it was in stock I ordered it. I just opened the bottle and found dead bugs inside. I usually use this for my dogs, not sure why this batch is bad. The expiration date is 2023, so it should be good. As this was a replacement that I'm buying before my other bottle runs out I think it's too late to ask for a refund. confused about it.

Great product with health benefits

I have not found any scientific studies to prove the benefits of this product once and for all, but anecdotal evidence suggests it has worked for our dogs. Our last Golden was 8-9 years old (he was a lifeguard and wasn't 100% sure of his age) and was having trouble jumping onto the bed. We gave him kosekin and he started jumping on the bed again. Or the current Golden is 10 years old and the vet is amazed at his running and jumping skills and the flexibility of his limbs. Wake him up and he can

Cosequin really works!

I just started using Cosequin so I had to wait to say OUR 14 year old Chweeny barely has a limp! It's been 9 weeks and he's doing much better. I wanted to stop taking this supplement after 7 weeks but my husband said "No!" We will be treating him for another month. He was right. The whole difference is like day and night. My vet recommended this product for my 14 year old dog with shoulder stiffness. The vet said the only drug he saw that actually worked was Cosequin. WE ALWAYS BUY AGAIN. NO…

Highly recommended for dogs of all sizes and ages!

I had a little Yorkie who had kneecap problems, so I started feeding her Cosequin as she got older. She kept walking and jumping with no problems. After her death I had two little Yorkies, one of whom started limping when she was only a few years old. I started giving both of them Cosequin and they both moved and jumped much better. If I don't give them my Yorkie will start limping again after a few days/weeks. Bottom line, I'm going to use it religiously. I have also recommended it to family…

It worked great! suitable for hip and joint care

My 16 year old cat got sick about 2 months ago. He stopped eating, walking, and hid behind the sofa for days. I took him to the emergency room and he was diagnosed with hind leg arthritis and infected. The doctor prescribed him a pain reliever that didn't solve his original problem (arthritis)! Well I found this supplement online and started giving him a half dose of this capsule with each meal (mix into his wet food morning and night). After 1 week he started walking with a lame leg. After 2…

Effective for my dog and my parrot!

I have given several dogs Nutramax's Cosequin Single Strength Supplement to relieve arthritis symptoms and now my gray parrot also uses it to treat severe arthritis in the hips, legs and feet due to microfractures from repeated falls in hers previous home. Both seem to feel much better after taking Cosequin for a few months. I think it's important for owners to remember that, as with the treatment of arthritis in humans, this is not an instant fix, but continued use at the dosage prescribed by…

My dog runs and jumps

I have a 9.5 year old Maltese toy dog and although she is a bit larger (11 lbs) I give her 1/2 a tablet every day. Directions: 1/2-1 tablet a day for under 10lbs but I started on 1/2 a tablet a day and it helped so much I've stuck with that dose. A bottle with 132 tablets lasts me almost 9 months and is a very economical and effective product. Within the first week I noticed that my dog began to walk more easily on short stretches of our walk. His hips became so stiff that he began to walk with
