I've had lots of bikes, but on the R1200gs I had before and my current R1250gs, I've always had severe tailbone pain after long days of riding. I bought this to take the pressure off my tailbone and it does it very well. However, it doesn't work very well on a stock seat. The inherent problem was that the seats are very plush and feel great on the showroom floor and while driving, but for daytime driving, the stock BMW seats are terrible. After purchasing a stiffer second seat, my driving experience has greatly improved, but the tailbone pain problem persists. Adding to a stiffer aftermarket seat seems to have fixed the issue. Spring. However, if your problem is that your existing seat is too soft, this won't do much. If you have an issue with the stiffness and/or ergonomics of your existing seat that is causing lower back/coccyx pain, this should help alleviate the problem significantly and maybe even go away. It's worth the money and I would buy it again.
