While this hood feels pretty solid, the elastic you have to use to keep it on the monitor is pretty slim and of average quality. Over time, age and heat will cause this gum to deteriorate and lose its "holding power". Also, it wasn't adjustable and was at least an inch and a half wider at the top, which prevented me from sliding the monitor back into its slot where it belongs. I've had hoods in the past; and I didn't mean that. I returned it for a refund.
