Changing the filter is much easier on this model
I had a stainless steel filter housing from Franke which is much more expensive and better looking. Until I had to unscrew it to replace the filter. Each time I changed the filter I had to tighten it more and more to prevent leakage until I could no longer open it to change the filter. I ended up disassembling it and disconnecting all the water lines. A real mess. This new plastic housing can be easily opened and closed with a quarter turn to change the filter.
