I ordered this so I could try spoon carving, and so far it’s been very easy to work with each different kind of wood , though you have to be careful with the basswood blank because it’s a soft wood and it’s easy to take too much off if you’re not careful. These arrived early and in great shape. It was an excellent product for the price . I’d recommend this to everyone wanting to try their hand at beginning wooden spoon carving. They make excellent handmade gifts for the holidays. All in all an excellent product at an affordable price.
