It is small and probably not as strong as "your good one", but this is for touch ups. I have very long hair which like to curl. Humidity is not my friend. I hate spending so much time straightening my hair in the morning, and then it is all curled and frizzed by the time I finish driving to work. This would never flatten all my hair, I use it in the car for touch-ups, by the face frame (some might say bangs). On standard days this works great! I would not bother with it after getting caught in the rain. It heats up in a couple of minutes and does the job. It will not get super hot, so there is very little chance of burning hair. It is small and fits in my glove box! I am glad I have it.
