Aside from the lack of a main O-ring around the housing and built in gaskets and the fact that gray water was pouring out of it in 5 minutes! After they sorted themselves out and I replaced the main o-ring with that of the old filter, everything worked for me. Tastes okay, nothing unusual, but why is there so much sediment in the water? I won't take them again, but at least they're not completely useless. EDIT: It's been a few months now and the 2nd filter came with at least SOME of the seals that the official filters have. However, when I opened the filter, I noticed that the filtered water looked cloudy and tasted like unfiltered water. The turbidity effect was caused by the filters, not the tap water. The downside to filtration was that ALL FILTER MEDIA WERE SANITIZED and broken apart when designed as a solid mass. It is not filtered and I was an idiot who thought I had a good deal and bought 8 of these. They are all junk and I ordered the RIGHT filters. DO NOT BUY THIS!
