I have seen horror stories on the internet about crickets and rough bristles on food, swallowing them and getting serious health problems. I never really thought about it, but when I saw this brush I realized it was time for a change. Also mentioned the problem to my DIL Gastrotherapist who told me it was indeed a problem. This brush is well made, works well (maybe not as well as a wire bristle brush, but certainly well enough) and has an additional steam function that comes in handy. When you dip this brush in water and rub it across the grill, the steam will clean the surface. Cool feature that I really didn't think I would use. until I did it and found it so useful. Good product, worth the money and gives you peace of mind. Featured!
