Inexpensive, good device

I have seen horror stories on the internet about crickets and rough bristles on food, swallowing them and getting serious health problems. I never really thought about it, but when I saw this brush I realized it was time for a change. Also mentioned the problem to my DIL Gastrotherapist who told me it was indeed a problem. This brush is well made, works well (maybe not as well as a wire bristle brush, but certainly well enough) and has an additional steam function that comes in handy. When you…

No loose bristles! for grill brushes

After hearing horror stories about grill brush bristles on the news, I immediately threw away our old grill brush as well as the brush my daughter used at her apartment. The reporter recommended a bristle-free brush, saying the best ones consist of a long piece of wire wrapped around itself. My first stop? Revenge! I was searching for a grill brush by these keywords and came across this brush. The other reviews were great so I bought two. I've only used the brush twice since I've had it but…

Will not work with full surface grills

I had high hopes for this brush after all the reviews but I think the brush is only suitable for certain types of grills. in a specific form and is not flexible. That is, to clean the grate, the width of each brush ripple must match the size of the gaps in your grate. Otherwise you won't get between the cracks, you can't clean the surface as well as the cracks. I'm sure the brush works well if your grate is fine mesh stainless steel, but I have a Genesis II e-410 which has large surface areas…

Works better than advertised. but i cheat

It is recommended to "steam clean" the grill with water. I place the metal part of the brush in the grate of the kettle and hold it in place with a lid. Once the grate is hot, I draw hot water from home into a small saucepan and dip the heated brush into hot (120*+) water and clean small areas of the grill, submerging as needed. cleans like a champion. and when the brush inevitably gets clogged with all the scraped bits, a quick dose of blowtorch will burn off the grease, then just smack it on…
