The spice jars I keep on the side In my fridge, the magnets kept slipping down even when using strong neodymium magnets, so I started looking for something grippy but very thin to attach the magnets to to prevent this from happening. They fit my needs in terms of shape and size, so I gave them a try even though they weren't designed for that. They are very grippy and thin enough that the magnets don't lose their power, but most of all they are perfect for this purpose. My spice jars stay where I put them now, problem solved. Also, being silicone, I don't think they should be difficult to clean if food gets on them. Even if they are, there are so many of them in the set that when they start going bad I have plenty of backups to replace if needed. The only negative I've encountered is that some of the discs have torn the backing and the top layer of wax has fallen off which is still stuck to the point. It was difficult to remove once it split, but luckily it only happened 2 of the 30 or so that I detached, so it wasn't a big deal, just a bit annoying.
