So, first of all, everyone wants their kid to have this in, blow out the front, cover the front shoulder, and swing in time. Unfortunately, this only encourages one of those things and spoils everything else. All you have to do is look at the position of your arm and shoulder when you're striking with this thing to see it doesn't do anything better. Maybe good for people who swing their elbows backwards, but otherwise not great.
