I used regular 80 grit sandpaper to remove paint from the outside of the house. I use an air grinder at 12,000 rpm and a 2 inch velcro. I switched to "Gator" Zirconia 50 Grit and immediately noticed an improvement. I figured I could get even better results by lowering the grit down to 40. I ordered this 3M Velcro disc and cut it into 2 inch sizes. 3M; The 40 grit was not as aggressive as the 50 grit "New Gator" zirconia. So when I thought I could buy some time by going from 50 to 40 grit, I actually lost abrasion instead. Good to know for future use. Zirconium Oxide is more effective than traditional sandpaper at removing latex paint from outdoor surfaces .
