I bought this to look at the BritBox. The sound on my computer is terrible and the speaker is on the bottom of the unit so I can't hear it clearly. This product says in words and pictures that it works by simply plugging into your computer - no power cord required! knew it was too good to be true. It only works when both are connected. So you have to control all these cables. That works fine. The sound is ok. Not the best, but good enough. There is no volume control on the speaker at all. Nothing. The only way to control the volume is to turn down the displayed image and use the volume control on the speaker, which is displayed on the screen. So you have multiple volume controls to control: one for your computer, one for the picture you're looking at, and now one for your speaker. If you're playing around and your computer is there and you're here, you should get up and go to our computer and play around with the audio. A simple button on the speaker would be very handy. Really stupid. I wish I had bought a different speaker. I thought this one did everything I wanted it to. I read every line and many reviews. . I don't know how I got confused.
