    Works well with Alexa Dot.

    Okay, the sound isn't impressive, but it's good for news, music cues, and general Alexa interaction. High marks for simplicity and ease of use with Dot; Just plug it into the wall and into the Dot and you're done. Unlike using the Dot with a portable Bluetooth speaker, there's no hassle of pairing, charging, or switching on/off, it just works.

    Clearer sound for Echo Dot

    I have a 3rd Gen Echo Dot that I bought a Z50 for. Supposedly the Dot has a 3 watt speaker and the Z50 has 5 watts RMS, they can double the peak power. Anyway, the Dot speaker is only 1.6 inch while the Z50 is 2.25 inch, but the Dot sound is almost the same as the Z50. In fact, it's very impressive for its size, and some people might prefer it over the Z50. Not me. I like the Z50 because speech is clearer and the dot sounds a bit dull. That's all!     Small ghetto blaster suitable for computer speakers

    I used to have fancy 2.0 computer speakers. After getting a laptop with a small plug-in subwoofer, I decided fancy speakers were overkill for my use case: YouTube videos and calls. For higher demands like movies and music, I use headphones for better soundstage, fidelity, and noise isolation. So for most use cases this is fine.     I bought this to look at the BritBox. The sound on my computer is terrible and the speaker is on the bottom of the unit so I can't hear it clearly. This product says in words and pictures that it works by simply plugging into your computer - no power cord required! knew it was too good to be true. It only works when both are connected. So you have to control all these cables. That works fine. The sound is ok. Not the best, but good enough. There is no volume control on the speaker at all…
