Senseo is back - kitchen and dining

I've been using my original Senseo coffee maker since it first came out many years ago. I really enjoyed their coffee maker and coffee. I was considering buying one from overseas as they are no longer sold here in the States. There is this new machine being offered by the USA which is practically identical to my original machine. I hesitated after reading some reviews about cooler coffee, smaller tank etc. I think some reviews should be based on newer models than my original. My old storage tank is perfect for this new machine. They are the same size. Since I unplugged my old machine the same day I got my new one, I've been able to compare the temperatures and they seem the same to me. The amount of coffee per cup is also the same. The amount of foam above is the same. I also read that some were unhappy with the plastic bottom plate. I tried my steel plate from the original machine and it fits perfectly. With the new plastic plate, however, the noise level is significantly reduced. So much so that I don't use a metal plate. I've always appreciated Senseo coffee for the positive reasons you could read about in the reviews, foam on top, no plastic cup to give away to the environment, fast time to first cup, flavor options, fairly small counter space. I have a fancy filter coffee maker, a fancy espresso maker, and an Italian stovetop coffee maker. i like my coffee My favorite car is the Senseo for everyday use. What I don't like about Senseo. Not happy with the price of the car considering how much the old car cost. The inflation rate in Senseo's country must be much higher than here in the States!
