Senseo is back - kitchen and dining

I've been using my original Senseo coffee maker since it first came out many years ago. I really enjoyed their coffee maker and coffee. I was considering buying one from overseas as they are no longer sold here in the States. There is this new machine being offered by the USA which is practically identical to my original machine. I hesitated after reading some reviews about cooler coffee, smaller tank etc. I think some reviews should be based on newer models than my original. My old storage…

While the Philips HD20 was slightly better, I'm glad to see the new one and it's a lot better than the Chinese made ones.

If you cannot find an original Philips Senseo coffee machine or yours is no longer working properly or the replacement price is too high, then this coffee machine is for you is the next best thing. Not quite up to par with the original as the coffee is less frothy. It seems to me that the temperature is lower and the foam definitely doesn't last as long. I had to fix the rattle on the base late, but other than that it's great. Pictures attached * * Updated

This is not my first machine. This is my third. What makes this machine different is that there is an intensity setting which is completely useless to me. It also seems to take more time to prepare. Despite this, I find the taste better than my previous machine because the part that injects water has more holes and has been completely redesigned. Makes AMAZING coffee, glad to have it, but.

Yes, it's loud. Yes, it lathers well. No, it's not cheap. Yes, I love it, but I first discovered the Senseo coffee machine in Europe a few years ago. 40 euros at Carrefour. Coffee pods are widely available there for just a few euros for a pack of 28 pods. The machine is ordinary, so the capsules are made under different labels, not just Senseo.
