I ordered a size 8 based on my son's previous pants which were a 7 considering my son is smaller than average but they were really long for comparison. Inseam for size approx. 24 inches. Hope that helps. I kept them because it's a good thing - he likes pants that aren't too tight and he'll grow into them eventually.
