Just what I needed best of parts

I am towing a trailer on my 1998 Ford Expedition with a 3 inch lift kit. The trailer weighs about 500 pounds, and I usually have a few hundred pounds more gear in the back of the Expedition. The weight of the trailer and the mechanism used to sag the back of the truck by about 2 inches. This caused my headlights to glow in mid-air and caused my front tires to wear out badly as the change in angle affected front end alignment. Installation was very easy and required no special tools. The instructions were clearly written and had good photos showing the installation process. The kit included everything you need for a clean install, right down to cable ties for reliable catenary routing. My son and I installed this kit in about an hour. Once installed, we hooked up the RV and loaded the back of the Expedition. He sagged as usual. We added 25psi of air pressure on both sides and the truck was ready to go again. We drove down a rather bumpy dirt road that we often hike on. I was surprised. The truck drove the same as without a trailer. Before the kit was installed, the rear suspension was too soft on bumpy dirt roads when loaded with a trailer. I was afraid the kit would be too heavy, but I was wrong. The kit compensated for the extra weight, restored driving performance and stabilized smoothness. I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone who needs a little extra ground clearance or driving stability every now and then but doesn't want to sacrifice their normal driving performance for the occasional situation. You need more control. Overall, they were easy to install, went smoothly with no issues, and solved the problem I was trying to solve much better than I expected.

Cons
  • Slightly dented
