With the onset of the first frosts, it's time to think about winter tires. Size 185/55 R15 car Lada Priora. The size is expensive and the budget is tight. I wanted a good studded tire for the city at a reasonable price. Chinese, Korean and 2022 manufacturers were immediately pushed aside. From the business segment, I considered several options, but for some reason only Gislaved inspired confidence. Having studied the entire Internet, I found out that the pattern on the new Nord Frost was taken from the previous Conti series, and that tire for a second was one of the best winter studded tires of its time. In general, the choice was obvious. Installation of new wheels fell just on the first snow. The first 100 kilometers did not believe that I was driving on a winter tire, the noise characteristics of the “two hundred” are simply excellent, not all summer tires can boast of such comfort. In terms of grip, there are also no complaints, on wet pavement and snow slush, the car keeps smoothly, there is complete control over the road. In severe frosts, the tire does not tan and warms up quickly enough. Of the shortcomings, I would like to note that the NF200 does not go through deep, loose snow very well, all the same, the asymmetry makes itself felt. But if we consider a bus for the city - in this class there is no better than Gislaved.
