This is my second plastic ATV rope. The first (other brand) still works 6 years later and its build quality is half that of this one. This one is good because it has a nylon sleeve for the first 4 feet, the linkage is at least 5 times the length of my old rope, it has heat shrink tubing on the end of the drum (I cut off the grommet) which makes it MUCH easier to pull it off through the hole in the drum and it also comes with a carabiner, winch and nylon accessory pouch (better than the zipped pouch I used). You can't argue with $50. As with any synthetic rope, abrasions require care, so I don't know what some of the other reviewers are complaining about.
