Review on Enhanced 5.1ch Surround Audio and Video System: Lossless Player Converter Decoder for AC-3 DTS HDMI 4K ARC Ultra HD Digital, Compatible with BT-5.0 Receiver and Multiple Inputs (Silver) by Mark Jefferson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost finished.

A nice little box designed to fill the gap when it comes to unamplified receivers or PC surround sound systems. Quick Benefits: Using an optical cable or HDMI/Arc (yes, Output is input [and output] ) offers better sound quality and stereo upscaling up to 5.1. All line noise and internal processor bleeding is gone. It's easier to manage a custom system like mine where you have 6 individually powered speakers. Quick Cons: Can't figure out how/if it's possible to dim/turn off the display. The user interface and menu system are obviously not designed by native English speakers. It's difficult to navigate, it's not clear which buttons to press. But I've seen worse, and it's essentially a bespoke factory run by a small Chinese company. They try their best :-) 5.1 audio. It seems to handle DTS or some Dolby Monopoly crap fairly well when fed (some degradation due to compression but it's probably the driver, not this box) but you don't have a real 5.1 from the PC. Basically there is an industry cabal against it and you will find literally a decade of forums on the internet trying to find workarounds to get a true 5.1 PCM game from PC over anything other than analogue connections. Let your optical and HDMI dreams of custom 5.1 speaker control die now. If maybe you don't like 30Hz. Basically, there's no easy way to get 5.1+ 60Hz 4k audio on a system that you can record it on, such as. B. on a PC. That's why. However, the attempt figuring out this fake 20 year old mystery being propagated by a real international corporate cabal led me to this unit and this unit got me pretty damn close to DTS over optical so well simulated surround sound with a clean digital signal in games. it delivers. After a lot of reinstalling the audio driver and fiddling around. There is no other way to check for 5.1 on Windows other than to play and see the game. Fallout 4 works. I'll report if it breaks. Lord, make a 60Hz version. 1+ 60Hz 4k audio on a system where you can record it, like a PC. That's why.
