Would recommend for regular travelers and rough service uses.

So far, so good. I only wore it for a week but it has proven to be well made and durable. I used to use the cheaper (and less durable) bacon clam shells and wanted something firmer because I travel a lot. Of course, this product offers the same excellent protection with a small difference in weight. I love the snap closure and the fact that my MacBook Pro stays closed in my backpack and other places I store and carry. I often put my MacBook in my backpack or toolbox along with other gadgets, tools and other everyday items, which resulted in scratches on the old MacBook screen. There is nothing more to worry about. There is a small issue with the case design that can be easily fixed. Upon arrival I had to modify the case with a Dremel tool to accommodate the standard USB-C connectors on the right front port. Be prepared to do the same thing on both ends if you're using something other than Apple's regular USB-C cable. The mod is easy and painless once you have the tools and take your time. I used a 1/8 straight drill bit at low speed to carefully expand the existing cut to the marks I had made with a sharp marker. I used a small whetstone to smooth the sharp edges. To be honest, it took longer to gather the tools than to make changes. Maximum 10 minutes. Please note that I had to remove the case (twice) to make any changes. Ignore any reports of broken screens when removing the case ***IF*** you take the time to review the documentation and videos on the UAG website. The only way to break the screen is to NOT watch the video, just blindly (and stupidly) try to "pick it up". Removal requires skill, not strength. I didn't and won't test this on purpose, but will update as needed if it ever does. :) As I'm sure some of you do, I was very wary of this purchase given the price. Overall I am very satisfied and consider this a premium case that offers premium protection worthy of the premium price. $80 to protect a $2,000 device like this is a small price to pay.
