When this CD/DVD drive first came out, I didn't have a computer to try it out right away. When I got the chance to use it, I was VERY disappointed with it. After 15 of the 35 CDs I tried to add to my iTunes the drive didn't get recognized by the drive (even after 5 minutes "knock, hum, keep humming!") and I had to fight 4 times to get the CD back, i stopped using it. Luckily the MAC I used it on is 9 years old (back when MACs still had CD drives) and any CD that the ROOFUL drive didn't recognize was recognized by the built in drive. I may have gotten a "lemon" but now I'm out of the return window and can't even get a replacement drive from the seller. Just because I couldn't verify that a new item does what it's supposed to do within 30 days seems like a bad reason for not keeping a customer happy. My rating would have changed if I had had the opportunity to get a replacement drive from the seller. My OTHER MAC NEEDS this drive because it doesn't have a native CD drive.
