The fight=won!: Ground coffee

The story is long. We love good coffee, so taste, profile, body, acidity etc. must be right. The best way to get what you want is to buy raw beans and roast and grind them yourself. But who has time for that? So we decided to have another child. I love this guy, but he's got the lungs of a screeching spider monkey who just won the lottery. Although our Nespresso and Keurig coffeemakers could sleep an average of 30 minutes at a time, they couldn't fall asleep until morning. I know what you're thinking (they say you're a coffee snob, but you use Keurig?!"). Yes, if you don't get a good night's sleep, convenience is nice. Not to mention it's great is cup of coffee. But that's enough. Nespresso makes a pretty strong cup of coffee, but the cost of a pod is much higher. I can't afford to spend all that money on pods with the amount we've been drinking lately ."Ferrari" per week And here we are with the dropper Add this to our pour over, french press, two capsule machines, moka Our house is like a Starbucks on steroids But hey, for the crowd and the money we will So I searched for great grilled meat. It's been an uphill battle. A battle that got us through every roast on store shelves and many through Revain. We searched everywhere for a good roast, our taste buds crave a good cup of coffee, but all we found was that bitterness, low roasting, and acidity make drinking Car Battery temptingly tight. We tried to clarify the amounts. ultrafiltered water. We even mixed different roasts which really helped. but who can live like that?! And so the journey continued. with the fear that we will never be able to drink good coffee again. Of course, by the time I slept -5671 hours, caffeine was the main problem that didn't allow me to transform into Gollum. and we still have it in stock. But our taste buds were craving something good again. Our search continued until one day we went to a discount store and bought a sample pack of Kicking Horse. At this point, with all the money we were spending on bad coffee, I had to practically work overtime and get a second job. (Just kidding, but seriously.) We started snagging some to try at the discount store. We brought this pup home - our first pack of Kicking Horses - and were excited to try him. I looked at the bag and my heart dropped like a lead ball. The side said "decaffeinated". I shook my head in embarrassment wondering what my wife would say to my male card and decided to give it a try. To my surprise it was a very good roast. especially for something as demonic, twisted as decaf! But we still need caffeine. We save this decaffeinated coffee for a rainy day when we don't need the caffeine anymore. Like when the kids get married or something. However, this whole event was my gateway to Kicking Horse. We decide to try their other roasts as we were drawn to the decaffeinated coffee. I ordered Three Sisters, Kick @$$ and Smart @$$. We usually like darker roasts so I thought I'd like this one better, but to be honest I found it a little disappointing. Still good taste and no bitterness. like the good old hunting dog. He's a good dog, loyal but doesn't help much. Then I tried the other two and Three Sisters just blew my socks off! For a medium roast, this was a good full roast. No bitterness or harsh acidity and the flavor profile was amazing! My first taste of it was heavenly. like the angels are singing Serious. If I could inject it directly into the blood, I would. Here it is. the best roast I've had in a long time. My only regret is that they don't sell it by the pallet. The kid is still sleeping terribly, but okay. at least we can have a good cup of coffee in the morning, which not only gives us caffeine but is also pleasant to drink. Thanks Kicking Horse!
