Put on a 99 Jeep 4.0 and use it when the temperature reaches 0 or below. Really eliminates cold start problems and the engine warms up very quickly. The temperature reading is close to 100 when starting with only heating. In addition, it consumes only 150 watts. I scraped the paint off the oil pan with a spoked wheel on an angle grinder, then cleaned with a rag with brake cleaner, then plugged in the pad, it was nice and warm, and pressed it in firmly and smoothed it out. Then plug in after installation, let it warm up for about half an hour and straighten again. A zipped cord so you can put it next to the battery in the summer and just pull it out and close the hood in the winter. Couldn't be happier with this product.
