Review on Stay Worry-Free In High Winds With PILOTDIARY Torch Butane Lighter: Refillable, Automatic Flip Cap, Double Jet Flames In Sleek Black (Butane Not Included) by Eliot Wahl

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very nice, but lost stars with 4 month update

Well made & worked great after fill-up. 1st snap opens the lid & attempts to light. Rarely does it light on 1st snap. Snap again, always lights.every time. This is understandable & expected. Nice forceful flame. I don't see it getting blown out by wind.Downsides are minimal. 1) lid doesn't close by itself. 2) little on weighty side. 3) Have to refill 3-4 days. 4) About 2/3rd'd or 3/4 the size of a pack of cigarettes. Again, just being picky for pro's/con's aspect.I like it though. Somewhat surprised with 2 burners blasting like a F16 at take-off, I'll get 3-4-5 maybe 6 days of use before refilling. (I smoke 1 pack a day.)Main reason I bought this was because an authority agency raided a meth lab & gave me a case of butane. No more buying lighters for me! :)Good choice on my part to get this one.An update.found out you can not see the flame outside, E.g. while driving. That could be hazardous!4 month update. The lighter rarely lights anymore without vigorous shaking prior to attempt lighting. Otherwise it takes 8-10 attempts before it will light on its own. Now it is not worth the price I paid for it. Instead of cheap garbage everyone is selling, this is expensive garbage.9 month update - have to fess-up, I made a mistake, I was turning the screw instead of flame adjuster!Other lighters have a flame adjustment screw next to filling port. This one is different. It has a black plastic ring around & inside the filling port.that is the flame adjuster. The + & - are on either side of the screw which makes it confusing at quick glance. Once flame adjustment was turned up, lighter works great!Sorry for confusion. Getting old sucks!

Pros
  • Lighters
Cons
  • The design of the lighter may appeal more to men than women, limiting its market
